The Times Reporter - 1/8/2018

NEW PHILADELPHIA Natalie Bollon has been selected as the executive director of the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. The appointment took effect Nov. 1.

Bollon, a licensed clinical counselor, has been with the board for nearly 10 years in the role of manager of community Services.

"I am honored by the opportunity to serve both Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties in this new role," Bollon said in a news releases.

"The commitment of our partners both in and out of the behavioral health system make this an ideal time to create positive change, strengthen families and increase recovery opportunities."

Bollon has worked in the field in both Tuscarawas and Carroll counties since 1999. She is transitioning due to the retirement of Dave Schaffer, who served as executive director since 2007.

"It has been an honor to work within our two-county behavioral health system along with our volunteer board of directors and staff which are some of the best people in the two county area," Schaffer said in the prepared statement.

Filling the role of manager of community services is Veronica Spidell. Spidell, a licensed counselor, has vast experience in the system of care including child welfare, juvenile court, and as a treatment provider.

Spidell most recently served as the executive director of Leadership Tuscarawas prior to beginning at the ADAMHS Board in December.
